Apostolic Covering
Greater Harvest Network of Churches and Ministries (GHNCM)
Greater Harvest Network of Churches and Ministries (GHNCM) is an apostolic fellowship established to provide spiritual covering, accountability, fellowship, and support to ministries and leaders.
GHNCM also serves as an affiliational identity for ministries that choose to fellowship under its covering. Ministries may choose to place GHNCM at the end of their ministry name as a sign of fellowship and connection with the network.
While GHNCM functions within an apostolic reformation model, it does not operate as a traditional denomination. Ministries that come under this covering remain non-denominational in structure. GHNCM does not exist to control the identity of a ministry, but to offer apostolic support, wisdom, accountability, and relational covering.
At the same time, all ministries seeking covering through GHNCM must demonstrate alignment with sound biblical doctrine and a commitment to operating according to the Word of God.
Our Purpose
GHNCM was created to strengthen ministries by providing:
-
Apostolic covering
-
Spiritual oversight
-
Leadership support
-
Doctrinal accountability
-
Ministry fellowship
-
Guidance and counsel
-
Training and development
Our goal is to help ministries remain healthy, effective, and biblically sound while allowing them to fulfill their individual assignment and vision.
Oversight and Leadership Structure
Within GHNCM, primary jurisdictional oversight is carried through the Office of the Presiding Bishop.
There are also times when Bishops may be called to function in a broader presiding capacity beyond local oversight. In these cases, they may be assigned responsibility for supporting pastors and ministries within a designated scope of oversight.
Within the structure of GHNCM:
-
Pastors serve as leaders of local congregations and ministries
-
Bishops provide spiritual oversight and guidance to pastors
-
Apostles function in broader apostolic and juridical oversight within the fellowship
All Apostles and Bishops within GHNCM are expected to remain ready and available to serve according to the needs of the ministry and the work of the Kingdom.
Types of Ministries Covered
GHNCM provides covering for two categories of ministries:
In-House Ministries:
In-house ministries are ministries that are established directly through GHNCM.
In these cases, GHNCM is directly involved in:
-
Establishing the ministry
-
Training leadership
-
Ordaining leadership
-
Assisting with placement
-
Providing doctrinal guidance
-
Monitoring financial accountability
-
Assisting with succession planning
-
Supporting the ministry’s long-term development
-
For in-house ministries, GHNCM may also provide guidance concerning governance, day-to-day support, and, where appropriate, board-level involvement.
While GHNCM offers oversight, the pastor remains responsible for carrying out the daily work and leadership of the ministry.
In-house ministries are subject to a covering fee, which is placed into an escrow-style reserve to assist with ministry needs that may arise outside of regular operational expenses.
In addition, the pastor and first lady of in-house ministries are required to be connected to GHNCM’s associate organizations, which provide support, health, fellowship, and encouragement for ministry leaders.
Existing Ministries
Existing ministries are ministries that were founded independently and later request apostolic covering through GHNCM.
These ministries are asked to submit their establishing documents for review so that GHNCM can determine whether covering is appropriate.
If there are questions related to doctrine or structure, consultation may take place to ensure that the ministry is operating in alignment with sound biblical doctrine before formal covering is established.
For existing ministries:
-
Covering fees are optional
-
Financial reporting is optional
-
Additional support services may be accepted as desired
For these ministries, GHNCM primarily serves as a source of:
-
Advisement
-
Support
-
Resources
-
Fellowship
-
Apostolic relationship
Monthly Leadership Training
All pastors of covered ministries, whether in-house or existing, are required to participate in monthly training sessionsby phone or video conference.
These sessions are designed to ensure that ministries within the fellowship remain:
-
Strengthened in leadership
-
Unified in fellowship
-
Grounded in sound doctrine
-
Equipped for effective ministry
These trainings are conducted by the overseer of GHNCM.
GHNCM Holy Gathering
GHNCM hosts a Holy Gathering for ministries within the fellowship.
This gathering is a time for leaders and ministries to come together in unity, fellowship, worship, networking, and mutual encouragement. It is a sacred time for the GHNCM family to strengthen relationships and grow together.
All fellowshipping ministries are encouraged to attend and be represented.
If a ministry is unable to attend physically, it may send a love gift, when possible, to help support the expenses associated with the gathering.
Licensing, Ordination, and Consecration
Please note that licensing, ordination, and consecration are governed according to the GHNCM By-Laws Manual, which is provided during the application process.
All ordination, licensing, and consecration services are assigned through the office of the Bishop.
For more information, please contact Bishop Dr. Isaiah W. Mackey.
